The studio designs and makes handcrafted objects in which unorthodox material combinations are manipulated by traditional and experimental techniques.
We experience the meaning of time that will change ourselves while changing the objects. Inspiration and concept comes from our insights and fascination of time defined processes. Together, we are able to merge concept from craft and technology, design and chemistry to create unique handmade pieces that reflect collective memory of objects.
Landscape of Oxidation
Landscape of Oxidation is a collection of Jesmonite products whose surfaces have evolved over time. Influenced by the philosophy and aesthetic of Kintsugi, and embracing the inherently unstable processes of copper patination and iron oxidation, each object, every one a unique cast, pauses and captures the beauty of a fleeting moment of deterioration.
There are 3 different collections in this project which are Iron Rust, Patina Blue and Golden Kintsugi. They are presented different technics of our exploration.
